Pastor Jody Forbus has been pastor of Carbon Community Baptist Church since 1998. With over 34 years of ministry experience. I served as a Deacon for 7 years prior to being called to be a Pastor. God put the call on my life to come back to the community of Carbon to start a Bible study on Friday nights in a small cafe in Carbon. I was raised in Carbon, so to come back to minister to the community was a great joy. After several months meeting on Friday nights, the fine people of Carbon were ready to start a mission church. Several months after the church started, I was called to be the Pastor. I’ve been committed to Preach/Teach the Word of God there for over 27 years now. My vision is to see lives transformed by the saving Grace of Jesus Christ, and then help disciple new believers to follow Him daily in their walk with Christ. In addition to my pastoral duties, I’m active serving the community through the local Volunteer Fire Department. I also serve as Board President of Carbon Christian Academy, a Christian school we started in 2019. God has truly blessed the Community Baptist Church. A light in our county. To God be the Glory!
